Atlantic Gravel is a gravel cycling weekend centered around Molde, Hustadvika, and Bud on Norway’s west coast. The main Atlantic Gravel ride takes place on Sunday, starting from Bud. It accommodates various rider types: those seeking speed, individuals interested in exploring new landscapes, and those primarily focused on social interaction with other cyclists. All bicycle types are permitted. The primary event on Sunday features routes of 140 km, 80 km, and 30 km, in addition to a children’s race.
The weekend commences on Saturday with the Molde Challenge Ritt/Social-ride, beginning and concluding in Molde. This ride can be undertaken with a start number or as a casual social event. Following this, participants convene for a communal meal focused on carbohydrate replenishment. Sunday’s routes also start and end in Bud. The longer distances are carried over from previous years, and the organizers state their objective plainly: for riders to gain the most from each pedal stroke.
