Sowie Szczyty is a non-competitive mountain hiking series in Poland’s Owl Mountains, with the start and finish at the Rzeczka Recreation Center. It offers three routes: 56 km with 2,040 m of climbing, 29 km with 900 m, and 11 km with 390 m. The format is closer to a long mountain ramble than a race, because the event is built around walking without rivalry or hurry.
The longest route links the main places in the Owl Mountains, including Wielka Sowa, the range’s 1,015 m high point. All routes reach the stone tower on Wielka Sowa, while the two longer options also pass the steel tower on Kalenica. The 56 km route adds rock formations, shelters, viewing towers, and historical sites such as Srebrna Góra Fortress and Osówka. Checkpoints and food points are spread along the routes, and the 11 km Wyrypunia option is also aimed at families and seniors.
