The Wings for Life World Run Poznań serves as the Polish Flagship Run for the global event, taking place in May within the city center. The race begins at the Poznań International Fair and operates uniquely: participants run until a Volkswagen ID Buzz Chase Car overtakes them, rather than aiming for a fixed finish line. Approximately 8,000 runners start together from the fairgrounds before proceeding onto Roosevelt Street.
The course winds through Poznań’s Imperial District, with early kilometers passing significant civic landmarks. Participants move towards Kaponier Roundabout, then onto Święty Marcin, past Adam Mickiewicz University, and continue along Niepodległości Avenue, passing the Poznań June 1956 monument. The route also includes the Imperial Castle, Europe's last royal residence of its kind, Collegium Minus, the Opera, the Marshal’s Office, and the old Summer Station roof, part of a station constructed for Kaiser Wilhelm II.
