At the Welby track, Highlands Trails presents a two-hour dirt-loop effort. The Welby 2 Hour Race keeps it simple: ride hard, count laps, and see what you have left. The setup has a local club feel, welcoming beginners, kids, and sharper racers on the same program, each choosing the version that suits them.
The course is a repeated off-road loop. Riders aim to complete as many laps as possible before time runs out. You can ride the two hours solo or enter as a pair and take turns completing laps. This makes it less intimidating for those wanting to try racing for the first time, while still offering experienced racers a proper challenge. Number plates are picked up before the start, with time for a practice lap around the course before racing begins.
