It takes place on a Saturday in early October, serving as a late-season event for assessing fitness, building stamina, or concluding the running season with a distance shorter than a half marathon. The course follows Toronto park paths, with aid stations provided. A Firefighters stop is noted as a popular feature. The race is open to elite runners and first-timers, positioning it as a community event rather than a strictly competitive one. Registration includes a PUMA running hat, a finisher medal, and entry to the post-race gathering.
