Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope 2026

The Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope takes place in Hamilton, Ontario, approximately forty minutes from Toronto. All activities are centered at Confederation Park on Van Wagner's Beach Road. The event includes a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, an elite 5K, and a 1K kids run. Shorter races and family walk/runs occur on Saturday, with the half and full marathons on Sunday. This late-fall event's full marathon is a Boston qualifier known for fast times. The marathon and half marathon participants are transported to the start at ArcelorMittal Dofasco Park. All races conclude at Confederation Park, close to the Lake Ontario shoreline. The course features cool-weather conditions, rural sections, and waterfront segments, attracting participants from beyond the local area, as well as area families. A yearly tradition is the Hammer Challenge, requiring runners to finish the 5K, the 10K, and either the half or full marathon.
