Sobre esta carrera
Sörmlands 100 Trail Run takes place over a September weekend in Sörmland, Sweden, offering races from 8 km to 100 miles. The longer distances include a 105 km UTMB Index race, a 50 km ultra, and a 100-mile route. Shorter options are 21 or 22 km, an 8 km Night Trail, or a 2 km kids race. The event focuses on trail running in one of Sweden's most biodiverse areas, meaning even the shorter races utilize genuine off-road terrain, not just park paths.
The courses combine forest singletrack, technical coastal trails, and faster runnable segments. The 100-mile race travels south from Mariefred, along Lake Malaren, to Nävekvarn, featuring approximately 2,700 meters of elevation gain, 13 aid stations, and a 33-hour cutoff. The 105 km race is centered near Öster Malma, close to Nyköping, with 1,746 meters of climbing. Participants range from ultra runners seeking ITRA points to local trail runners, beginners, night runners, and families. The weekend also offers local food, athlete discussions, GPS tracking, and GPX course files.
