Winter Solstice Fun Run 2026

Cape Nelson Lighthouse marks the start for the longer distances, sending runners along scenic roads toward town before converging at Portland Ploughed Field. The Winter Solstice Fun Run offers a blend of options and simplicity: road, trail, beginner routes, walking paths, and a free Kids Dash for younger participants. Underfoot conditions vary from the picturesque Fawthrop Lagoon and foreshore to sections of the Great South West Walk trails. The Yumbah Trail provides rugged coastal paths with challenging terrain. The Irish Mad Mile runs through the center of Portland, with all courses concluding amidst a lively atmosphere with food and music. A note for participants: prams and dogs are not permitted.
