About this race
The MTB Beachrace, in its 4th edition, is a winter mountain bike race held in De Haan on the Belgian coast. The start is located on the sand near the play boat and sanitary facilities by the Zeedijk. Participants can select from three race distances: a 45 km option suitable for both experienced racers and recreational riders, and a 30 km beach race for those seeking a shorter challenge. The race center is situated in central De Haan, with registration and check-in conducted at O.C. d'Annexe, located behind the town hall.
The course follows the beach towards Wenduine before returning to De Haan via the Rotonde. Subsequently, riders will navigate the Concessiewijk, including the BOX-berg climb, and proceed into the Duinbossen for a single-track segment. The route then returns to the main coastal road, rejoining the beach near surf club Windhaan. Brogo Sports is the organizer, providing professional timing. The finish area is managed with Shifting Gears, and post-race amenities include music, drinks, and food. This De Haan race is also a component of a three-race beachrace series, allowing participants to compete for a single day's result or as part of a larger coastal competition.
