On Sunday, October 18, 2026, the Leuven Legacy Gravel will take place, the first official qualifying race for the UCI Gravel World Championships 2027 in France and the grand finale of the Bolero Gravel Series. Building on the unforgettable 2024 Gravel World Championships in Leuven, this event continues that unique cycling legacy while looking to the future. This race is the very first qualification opportunity for the 2027 Gravel World Championships in Haute-Savoie, France. Leuven Legacy Gravel offers the perfect chance to qualify early for an international top event close to home and to measure yourself against the best gravel riders at the highest level. Expect a varied course with rolling landscapes, challenging climbs, and iconic gravel sections that follow each other in quick succession. Leuven Legacy Gravel will guide you through the heart of the Brabantse Wouden National Park, finishing at the Philipssite in Leuven. Gravel ride in a region that gained worldwide cycling fame with the 2021 Road World Championships and the 2024 Gravel World Championships. The official qualification distance for elite men and women, and men younger than 60 and women younger than 50, is 132 km with approximately 880 meters of elevation gain. Men aged 60 and over, and women aged 50 and over, will ride a distance of 86 km with approximately 560 meters of elevation gain.
