Races that repeat — weekly, monthly or yearly

Live Love Run 21K, 10K, 5K & 1K
SAT OCT 3
Live Love Run begins and ends at Brae Island Regional Park in Fort Langley, Langley Township, British Columbia. The event takes place in October, offering 21K, 10K, 5K, 1K, and virtual race options. Participants can select distances ranging from a short family run to a half-marathon-length trail race. The in-person event has a limit of 300 participants and has previously sold out. The course utilizes the Fort-to-Fort Trail alongside the Fraser River, crossing the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Kwantlen First Nations. Stroller-friendly routes are available, providing accessibility for families. Aid stations and finisher medals are part of the standard race day setup. This marks the 14th annual running of the event, which supports breast cancer survivors and ABreast In A Boat, a dragon boat team associated with the cause.
CHSFW Rubber Ducky
SUN OCT 18
The CHSFW Rubber Ducky is an October race held at Burnaby Lake Regional Park in Burnaby, offering 5K, 7 Mile, and Half Marathon distances. The 7 Mile and Half Marathon routes complete a full circuit of Burnaby Lake. Participants must use a tag for timing; those without a tag will not receive a recorded result. The race course shares Burnaby Lake with the Shamrock’n Race in March, but the direction of the loop is reversed. Shamrock’n runs the 7 Mile and Half Marathon clockwise, whereas Rubber Ducky runs them counterclockwise. Burnaby Lake, situated centrally within the city, is a wildlife sanctuary featuring birds and animals along its trails. The lake was formed by a glacier approximately 12,000 years ago, and its shores were later sites for sawmills in the late 1800s, giving the course a historical context beyond a standard park loop.
The 1st Song Sparrow Bridge 10K and 4 Mile Run, Walk at Northern State in Sedro-Woolley
SAT FEB 13
Woolley Trail Runs is a February trail race held at Township and Polte Road in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, offering 13.1-mile, 26.2-mile, and 50K distances. It is an NW Ultra event, with a low-key setup: no prize money, limited aid, and a clear instruction for runners to carry their own water and food. All three distances follow out-and-back routes on a gravel railroad-grade path, with approximately 90 percent of the course on unpaved trail. The outbound leg features a gentle ascent, with the return trip mirroring this grade. Road crossings are present and unmonitored, requiring runners to manage traffic themselves. Turnarounds and any trail diversions are marked, with aid stations located at mile 4 and at the turnaround points. The course is not USATF certified, thus not qualifying for Boston, though organizers state it meets the advertised distance. The race, established in 2010, maintains a modest entry fee relative to many trail ultras.

About Half Marathon races in Chilliwack

Chilliwack Training Notes

Chilliwack hosts 4 Half Marathon races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals run Chilliwack like a mountain-adjacent town, with easy Z2 from the city and bigger days close by. The standard loop is 8km with 48m of gain. Lindell Beach at Cultus Lake gives the long-run crowd a 30k route with 338m of gain. Country roads, around mission, fairest fairfield, Recovery Mayfiar Loop, Barefoot Run, and Running Room 8k cover the weekly rhythm. The brief names no dedicated run club, so locals keep it route-led. Canyon to Coast Marathon, Bear Mountain Trail Running Race, Run for Water Trail Race, VALLEY VERTIKILLER TRAIL RACE 2026, and Thursty Elk 25km anchor the calendar.

Locals ride a real mix here, with road, gravel, double track, and singletrack all in play. Trans Canada Trail carries the adventure miles, and the TCT single track has moderately technical sections when the pace stops feeling casual. Slesse Climb gives riders a clear target, and Vedder Mountain brings the harder stuff. The Chilliwack River Valley loop runs 101km and climbs 1,936m, with an 80km option when riders skip Vedder Mountain. Vedder Mountain climb is steep and technical singletrack before double track near the summit, so locals expect some walk a bike. THRASHERS BC sits on the local club list. Goodride Gravel, Ride for Water, Vedder Mountain Challenge, BC Road Race Championships 2026, and Bear Mountain XC Bike Race give the year its bite.

May, June, and September are the clean picks for base miles, intervals, and long rides. Summer gives Chilliwack warm days, and the average yearly high temperature sits at 15.5°C. Locals still respect the exposed switchbacks when the sun is high, because one foot in front of another can turn into work fast. The city centre stays useful for flatter runs, while Cultus Lake, Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park, and the Vedder River side keep bigger days close. Winter changes the plan more than the identity. Snow usually stays in the surrounding mountains, except for two or three weeks in December or January when arctic outflow hits, so runners and riders adjust routes and keep moving.
