Races that repeat — weekly, monthly or yearly

Run for Resilience 2026
SUN OCT 11
Run for Resilience is a community walk/run in London, Ontario, held in Springbank Park in October. It offers a 10K run, a 5K walk/run, and a 1K community walk, allowing participants to choose from a short family-friendly outing to a longer run. All routes stay inside the park, keeping the event contained and easy to follow. Runners, walkers, families, and supporters share the same event day, with a focus on participation at every pace. The race also raises support for accessible mental health care for neurodivergent individuals, giving the distances a purpose beyond finishing.
Wise Raven Trail Race
SAT OCT 17
The Wise Raven Trail Race utilizes a 2.5 km forest loop situated at Camp Heidelberg, the K-W Optimist Club property on Kressler Road in Waterloo, Ontario. Held in October, it provides 5 km, 10 km, 25 km, 50 km, 6-hour, and 6-hour relay race formats, with all participants completing the same short loop multiple times. The event is limited to 115 participants, is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario, and uses electronic timing by Chiptime Results. Remaining funds after operational costs are donated to Run-Walk-Roll for WRHNCC, extending over ten years of financial support for this initiative. The loop begins with a quick, level section alongside the covered aid station, heading towards Camp Heidelberg pond. It then proceeds through mostly maintained trail featuring brief rocky and root-filled segments, along with some gentle inclines. Each circuit adds approximately 45 m of elevation gain, contributing to a consistent effort over longer distances rather than a single strenuous climb. Relay teams consist of 2 to 4 runners who exchange an ankle chip at the start/finish area, with each runner required to finish a complete lap before a substitution. The aid station offers practical, abundant snacks: soda, water, electrolytes, candy, chips, pickles, and occasionally PB&J sandwiches or pie. The race is cup-free, requiring runners to use their own bottles; pacers, pets, and alcohol are prohibited on the premises.
Halloween Haunting
SUN OCT 25
Halloween Haunting takes place in late October at Springbank Park in London, Ontario, with all race distances contained within the park. The SoleScience Race Series event offers participants four distance options: 10k, 5k, 2.3k, and a Kiddy Trot for children. The event begins in the morning and is designed for families and regular runners alike, featuring shorter distances alongside the longer road races. The 10k course consists of two loops on paved roads and bike paths, while the 5k is a single loop on similar surfaces. The 2.3k route utilizes the roadways in the west end of Springbank Park, and the Kiddy Trot covers the final 300 meters of the race path. All routes follow the park’s paved pathway system alongside the river, are traffic-free, and are clearly marked and marshalled. Costumes are a key element of the day: participants are encouraged to wear costumes while racing, with costume awards exclusively for those running in their outfits. Additionally, every child completing the Kiddy Trot receives a goodie bag at the finish line.

About 10K races in London

London Training Notes

London hosts 6 10K races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals run London through parks, pathways, and low-drama loops. One loop covers 75 km with a gain of 14 m. Another loop runs 49 km and gains 43 m. A third loop runs 48 km and gains 85 m when you want a sharper day. SUMMER NIGHT 5K, Springbank Road Races London, Turkey Trot, and Halloween Haunting keep the race calendar honest. Locals build the run-club feel around repeat routes, race mornings, and easy group miles.

London Cycling Club sets the tone for recreational riding, and Attack Racing gives youth riders a real development path. London Centennial Wheelers keeps touring and road racing in the mix, while CAN-BIKE London, London Cycle Link, and Western Active Transportation Society support daily riding. The city gives cyclists more than 350 km of pathways, bike lanes, and cycle tracks. The Thames Valley Parkway runs 43 km and connects to more than 150 km of additional pathways. Fanshawe Conservation Area gives mountain bikers a lake loop through forests and open meadows. Boler Mountain is where locals go for singletrack, climbs, and beginner or advanced loops.

May through October feels like the clean training block here, with Gremlins running Thursday evening group rides from May 1st to October. Winter mornings drop to 5°C, so locals ride early when intervals are on the plan. Summer weekends suit long Thames Valley Parkway spins, Fanshawe singletrack, and 5K race efforts without making the day complicated. Winter changes the rhythm for both sports. Heavy snow is rare, but snow usually falls at least once each winter, so locals shift toward steadier runs, indoor track cycling at Forest City Velodrome, and lower-risk Z2.
