About this race
The Duinger Berglauf begins and ends at the OBS sports hall in Duingen, Lower Saxony, offering races for children and adults instead of a single main event. The shortest distances are the 400 m Bambinilauf and the 800 m Kinderlauf. Older participants can select the 5 km Sparkasse Lauf or the 10 km Continentale Lauf. Duinger Sport-Club e.V. organizes this event, marking its 19th year as a straightforward, accessible local mountain run.
The longer courses follow mostly paved field and forest paths, featuring approximately 110 meters of elevation gain, making the 5 km and 10 km races feel more challenging than a flat road race. The children’s races are held near the school grounds, while the adult races commence from the sports hall vicinity. Club membership is not required to participate. Late registration is open until one hour before the start, and the entry fees are modest. Following the run, all participants receive complimentary access to the indoor pool and sauna, with changing rooms, showers, food, and drinks provided on-site.
