About this race
The Dübener Heidelauf is a cross-country running event held at Obermühle in Bad Düben, a spa town in northern Saxony. Organized by SV Bad Düben, it offers races for children, youth, and adults. The distances range from 500 m to a half marathon (21.1 km), accommodating both very young runners and experienced distance athletes.
The competitions are Waldlauf, the German term for forest or cross-country running, with age categories from under-8 children through juniors, women, and men. It is part of the local athletics structure for North Saxony and Leipzig, giving it the character of a club-organized regional race instead of a large commercial road event.
