About this race
The Eberbacher Sprint- und Jedermanntriathlon is a short triathlon in Eberbach, set around the Neckar river and the hills of the Kleiner Odenwald. It begins with a 700-meter swim in the Neckar, aided by the current, followed by a 22.2-kilometer road bike course to Schwanheim and back. The race concludes with a 6-kilometer run along the Neckarradweg toward the finish line. It accommodates both German Triathlon Union licensed athletes and those without a DTU license, featuring separate classifications so club racers and amateurs compete in the same event without being scored together. Relay teams are also welcome.
The event is based at the Sportgelände in der Au, a natural sports area featuring lakes and ponds. The race maintains a straightforward club atmosphere instead of a large-scale production. Approximately 250 participants are anticipated, allowing for manageable field sizes while ensuring enough competitors are on the course for pacing. Amateur entrants and age-group athletes start together, making the race suitable for individuals assessing their fitness, attempting a straightforward short-distance triathlon, or competing without the need for a large-scale event setting.
