Maantiekisat 2026

Maantiekisat is a road cycling race weekend in northern Finland, held over an August weekend between Oulu and Montta in Muhos. The program features the Terva-ajot road races alongside SM and ISM circuit races, offering participants both open-road racing and circuit laps within the same weekend. The Koskikeskus circuit runs around the river delta near central Oulu, a route that received particularly positive feedback from riders and teams. While entries were below the organizers' expectations, the race venue maintained a strong atmosphere, supported by crews, officials, authorities, volunteers, and local partners. Elite women and men compete in both the road race and the circuit race, with Finnish club and team riders contending for podium positions throughout the weekend. Oulu's designation as European Capital of Culture provides an additional point of interest for the next edition beyond the competition.
