Aquathlon de Mérignac 2027

The Aquathlon de Mérignac is a swim-run event held in Mérignac, close to Bordeaux. It takes place at Aqua Stadium Mérignac on Avenue du Truc, on a Sunday in April. Races are scheduled throughout the day, catering to participants of all ages, from children to adults, offering a chance to try a swim-and-run format before the triathlon season begins. The race features a straightforward format: swimmers use the Aqua Stadium’s large pool, followed by a run on the track at Robert Brettes stadium. The S race combines a 1000 m swim with a 5 km run. The XS race, for those aged 12 and older, consists of a 500 m swim and a 2.5 km run. Younger participants have shorter distances: ages 6-9 complete a 50 m swim and a 500 m run, while ages 10-11 do a 100 m swim and a 1 km run. SAM Mérignac Triathlon organizes this event. The flat course is suitable for those new to aquathlons and serves as a simple preparation for licensed triathletes.
