Aquathlon du Neron is a late-March aquathlon held in Sainte-Égrève, Isère, near Grenoble and at the base of Néron mountain. Organized by Fontanil Triathlon, the event focuses on short swim-run competitions, offering XS and S formats alongside youth races for children and juniors. The XS race involves a 500 m swim and a 2.5 km run, while the S format doubles these distances to a 1000 m swim and a 5 km run.
The location places participants near the city yet directly beneath the mountains, lending the event a local Alpine-club atmosphere rather than that of a large urban road race. The program also features cross triathlon races for younger age groups: 6-9 year olds complete a 50 m swim, 1 km bike, and 500 m run; 10-11 year olds race 100 m, 2 km, and 1000 m; and 12-13 year olds compete in a 200 m swim, 4 km bike, and 1500 m run. Entries are individual. The combination of adult aquathlon and youth cross triathlon creates a concise race day suitable for newcomers, club athletes, and families in the Sainte-Égrève area.
