Aquathlon du Pays Mornantais is a short swim-run event in Mornant, a town in the Rhône department of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, located approximately 19 km from Lyon and 31 km from Saint-Étienne. The first edition is scheduled for late April, featuring youth, XXS, and XS formats, indicating the race focuses on short-distance aquathlon rather than long endurance.
The adult XS M1 race begins in the morning and is open to athletes aged 17 and older. Its format is straightforward and quick: 500 metres of swimming followed by a 3 km run. Winning times in past results are typically around 16 to 17 minutes. CNPM organizes the event, and the nearest train station is Givors Canal, situated just over 8 km from Mornant.
