The Liévin Triathlon Indoor Festival is an indoor triathlon event held in Liévin, northern France, centered at the Arena Covered Stadium and typically scheduled for March. Its main event is the Indoor Triathlon World Cup, featuring elite men and women competing in short, rapid formats within the stadium, deviating from traditional lengthy outdoor courses. The World Cup follows a tournament structure, comprising quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals, allowing spectators to follow the entire competition within a condensed timeframe.
The festival covers more than just the World Cup. An Open Triathlon caters to participants of all ages, from youth to seniors. Additionally, school competitions are organized through the UNSS academy championships, alongside aquathlons for community centers and primary school students, serving as an introduction to multi-discipline sports. The inaugural event highlighted a significant community involvement, including a corporate challenge for 60 companies and introductory events for 1,200 children. The Triathlon Club de Liévin is the organizing body, with the event resuming after two postponements due to health concerns.
