Recurring 10K races near Aachen

Races that repeat — weekly, monthly or yearly

21. Korschenbroicher Waldlauf
SAT OCT 3
The Korschenbroich Forest Run takes place at Am Sportplatz in Korschenbroich. The event offers 5K and 10K races, providing standard distances for participants. The event includes options for children and students, catering to a range of age groups. Nordic Walking is also available, allowing participants to join the same race setting without competing as runners.
Limburg Wine Trailrun
SAT OCT 3
The Limburg Wine Trail is a trail run through South Limburg's hill country, incorporating wine tasting throughout the day rather than solely at the finish. Participants begin and conclude at Kasteelhoeve Cartils, located next to Kasteel Cartils in the Eyserbeek valley between Gulpen and Eys. Runners can select from 10, 15, or 20 kilometer distances. The courses are not flat; the 10 km route includes 220 meters of elevation gain, the 15 km has 300 meters, and the 20 km features 370 meters. The course crosses a blend of paved and unpaved paths, featuring rolling hills, estate grounds, and vineyards within the Limburg Heuvelland region. Along the route, runners sample local Limburg wines accompanied by small food pairings, making the event a combination of trail race and mobile wine tasting. Now in its third edition, the event's first two editions sold out rapidly. A Limburg Wine Walk is also offered for those preferring to experience the wine and countryside without running. The day concludes back at Cartils with music and a communal closing.
79. Viersener Herbstwaldlauf Rund um den Bismarckturm
SAT OCT 10
The Viersener Herbstwaldlauf Rund um den Bismarckturm is an autumn forest race in Viersen, Germany. All races start and finish at Stadion Hoher Busch. The program features a rolling 5k run, a 10k run, and a 7.25k walk or Nordic walk, catering to both runners and walkers. The 5k is open to adults aged 14 and older, with a one-hour time limit. The walking and Nordic walking event is open to participants aged 10 and older. Results are categorized by birth-year age groups, extending to older masters categories. The event also includes races for children and youth.
EnergyVision Dwars Door Hasselt
SUN OCT 11
EnergyVision Dwars Door Hasselt is a city running event held in Hasselt, Limburg, offering race distances from a 1 km kids run to a 21.0975 km half marathon. It is known locally as Limburg’s coziest city run, yet it is also a significant event, with almost 14,000 runners participating in a recent edition, ranking it as the third largest running event in Flanders. The event features 3 km, 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, the half marathon, the Persil Kids Run, and a handbike race. The half marathon is officially measured and World Athletics-certified, attracting approximately 3,000 runners since its introduction. The children’s run is untimed, while the 3 km through half marathon races utilize chips to record net time from start to finish. Participants receive a commemorative medal, aid stations along the route and at the finish, changing rooms and showers at PXL, bag storage, and results published online and via Het Belang van Limburg’s digital newspaper.
Semi de la Province de Liège
SUN OCT 18
The Semi de la Province de Liège begins on Île Monsin, at the Esplanade Roi Albert near the Coronmeuse tram stop, the terminus of Liège’s tram line. This October road race centers on a half marathon, also offering 10 km and 5 km races, plus children’s events and a walking tour on the same day. The routes are flat and quick, with all finishes located close to the new Coronmeuse eco-district. The race draws from Liège’s marathon heritage; the city was the sixth globally to host a marathon, and a section of the current route retraces that original path. For the half marathon and 10 km events, the course order has been altered: the final three kilometers of the previous route now form the beginning, and the initial three kilometers are now at the end. Approximately 6,000 runners are anticipated, with the post-race area situated near the parade boats.
Semi-Marathon de la province de Liège
SUN OCT 18
The Semi-Marathon de la province de Liège begins on Île Monsin, at the Esplanade Roi Albert, and concludes near the new Coronmeuse eco-district. It is a flat, fast race day centered on the half marathon and 10 km, with a 5 km race, an 8 km walk, and a children’s race also scheduled. The start area is at the end of the tram line, allowing runners to reach it by tram at Coronmeuse, a small detail that recalls the old Liège marathon era. The route traces parts of Liège’s industrial and riverside landscape: the banks of the Meuse, the canal, Coronmeuse and its track, the Chertal redevelopment site, and the company roads of Île Monsin, including road number 12. A section of the half marathon follows the path of Liège’s historic marathon; the city hosted one of the world’s earliest marathons, and this event revives that old course. The post-race village is located on the island, near passing boats, making the finish area feel connected to the river and port as much as to the race itself.
Cité Run Eisden
SUN OCT 18
Cité Run Eisden takes place in October in Eisden-Tuinwijk, starting at Vrije Basisschool de Griffel. The schedule includes a 5 km race in the morning, followed by a 10 km race an hour later. A Kidsrun is held after midday, with children signing up via their school. The course stays within Eisden-Tuinwijk, passing notable local sites. It accommodates individual runners and workplace teams of five or six, who can enter the 5 km or 10 km races as a group using special team packages. Parking is available at Kerkplein. Organisers will give a surprise to the 50th, 100th, and 200th registrants.
Jasperloop
SUN OCT 25
The Jasperloop begins at 10:00 on the last Sunday of most months, located beside Het Keelven in Someren, close to forest café De Soete Inval. This is a small Dutch trimloop, emphasizing personal fitness testing over formal championship competition. Registration opens at 9:30; non-members pay €1, and participation is limited to 100 runners. The event occurs 11 times annually, with no session in December. The structure allows participants to complete 1 to 6 laps of a 2.5 km course, offering distances from 2.5 km to 15 km. The semi-paved loop winds through the woods surrounding Het Keelven. The start is accessible from the provincial road connecting Someren, Asten, and Heeze. The event welcomes runners of all ages and experience levels, from novices to seasoned athletes, though some participants compete seriously against their own times and fellow runners. The series has progressed through hundreds of editions.
PODOrun Sonderkamp & Wijnands
SUN OCT 25
PODOrun Sonderkamp & Wijnands is a paved running event in Kessel, Limburg, organized by Atletiek Helden for juniors and adults. The adult races are 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km. Children can start with a 500-meter bambinoloop from age 4, with one parent or guardian allowed to run alongside. From age 6 there is a 1000-meter race, and runners from age 12 can join the 2.5 km distance. The start is beside community center De Paort, and the route uses short laps through the center of Kessel. Runners pass the Maas boulevard, the houses along the Veersepad, the historic market square, and the castle garden of Kasteel de Keverberg. The 500-meter race is one blue lap, the 1000 meters is two blue laps, and the longer distances use the green lap: once for 2.5 km, twice for 5 km, and four times for 10 km. Spectators can watch from terraces around the route, giving the event a village-center feel.
8. Friedrichstaler Waldlauf
SUN OCT 25
The Friedrichstaler Waldlauf is a local forest run in Friedrichstal, a Stutensee district. The listing identifies the event but lacks details on its season, race distances, or course measurements. Therefore, it is best described as a community running event, not a fully documented championship race. The race connects to the Stutensee sports community. TV Friedrichstal, the largest club in the Friedrichstal district, provides athletics and other sports for all ages. The Stutensee CUP, organized by TSG Blankenloch, includes events like the Stutenseer Stadtlauf and Stutensee Triathlon, positioning this run within a local series of endurance events.
Halloween-Run Köln
SAT OCT 31
Halloween-Run Köln is a Halloween-night running event in Cologne’s Forstbotanischer Garten, with 5 km and 10 km options plus children’s Candy Runs. It is a normal road or path race with a costume-heavy twist, not an obstacle race and not one where zombies chase runners. The mood is meant to be spooky but friendly, so it suits adults who want a themed run and families looking for something active to do with children. The route uses the familiar Rodenkirchen LÄUFT course through the botanical forest garden, with parts of it lit specially for Halloween. Runners often come in costume and wear headlamps, which makes the field look more like a moving parade of ghosts than a standard evening race. The event has drawn more than 1,400 participants, including over 400 toddlers and school children, and it is billed as the only night run through the Forstbotanischer Garten.
Urban Trail Düsseldorf
SUN NOV 1
The Urban Trail Düsseldorf is a relaxed 8 to 10 km urban trail run in Düsseldorf, Germany. It begins in the morning at the Jugendherberge Düsseldorf on Düsseldorferstrasse 1. This event is part of the Urban Trail Serie and is organized by D Running, which has new management since 2025. This is not a competition for the fastest time; there is no timing, start waves ensure a calm opening, and participants can jog, walk, or run at their own pace. From the youth hostel, the route crosses the Rhine and connects various city locations instead of following typical running paths. The measured distance is from one stop to the next, with additional steps within venues included. Runners might see modern architecture, historic sites, less-known areas, halls, museums, and other venues usually off-limits. Each location may offer its own small highlight for participants. Traffic lights must still be obeyed, and food is available on site after or during the run.

About 10K races in Aachen

Aachen Training Notes

Aachen hosts 87 10K races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals run Lousberg, Stadtpark, Kaiser-Friedrich-Park, Kurpark, Hangeweiher, and the forest edges when they want quick Z2 without fuss. Aachen makes direction almost irrelevant, because you usually hit forest or fields and feel out in nature fast. Lauf Doch Mit! meets Monday at 18:30 at Hangeweiher, and Run Free Lauftreff meets Monday at 18:45 at Königshügel. SLC Aachen uses Königshügel for intervals, and RUNS has Friday work at Waldstadion plus a Sunday Community Run at Parkplatz Siegel. Lousberglauf is the anchor event, and Alemannia Stadtparklauf, Aachener Silvesterlauf, Winterlauf Aachen, and Hahner Kitzenhauslauf fill the calendar.

Locals ride the Aachen Round circuit when they want a proper local loop, and the route covers 50 kilometers from the cathedral through rural Aachen and the old town. Vennbahnweg gives you long base miles, because the old railroad line runs 125 kilometers toward Luxembourg. RurUfer cycle path links Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, and the Aachen - Jülich railroad line route gives 32 kilometers there and back. PTSV Aachen, RWTH Aachen University's Hochschulsport, and Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein sit in the wider club scene. Vaalserberg, High Fens, and the Eifel hold the climbs, and the going can get steep.

Spring and autumn are the best months here, because the air feels steady and the forests stay useful for both intervals and longer Z2. Summer brings warm days, and Freibad Hangeweiher opens from May 1 to September 15 for an easy post-run or post-ride reset. Aachen reaches 263 m at its high point, so even city loops can pick up little kicks before the bigger Eifel work starts. Winter stays mild, and locals keep running Lousberg, Stadtpark, and Hangeweiher while riders shift toward steadier base miles, cyclocross moods, and shorter loops when the light goes early.
