Races that repeat — weekly, monthly or yearly

10. Rostock 10 - Staffel und Einzel über 10km
SAT OCT 3
Rostock 10 is a 10 km running event in Rostock, Germany, offering both solo and relay options. The German title, “Staffel und Einzel über 10km,” clearly indicates the choices: run the distance alone or divide it among a team. The event is organized by ProEvent and utilizes their race result platform for registration, participant lists, live information, and results. While the event page provides limited course details, it demonstrates a practical approach for local and visiting runners, with information available in multiple languages.
Rügenbrücken-Marathon
SAT OCT 10
The Rügenbrücken-Marathon takes runners and walkers across the Rügen Bridge in Stralsund, utilizing a road typically for vehicles. This October event in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, northern Germany, offers a full marathon, half marathon, 10 km, 6 km, walking and Nordic walking, and a children’s run. Now in its 18th edition, the event attracts thousands of participants, not just a small local group. The course features the bridge crossing prominently, providing open views of the Strelasund, Stralsund’s UNESCO-listed old town, and the island of Rügen. Participants include marathoners, shorter-distance runners, walkers, families, and individuals seeking the bridge experience without the full 42 km. Sparkasse Vorpommern is the main sponsor. Past events have included a sponsor booth, small prizes, and appearances by the Sparkassen Wildcats. The race has previously contended with adverse weather; one edition saw the marathon cancelled while the half marathon proceeded.
Rostocker Herbstlauf
SUN NOV 8
The Rostocker Herbstlauf is an autumn running event in Rostock, Germany, held in November. Having completed its tenth edition, demand can be high enough that start numbers sell out before race day. The available race information does not give distances or a route, so the course cannot be described honestly from the source. The event supports individual and group entries, keeps a participant list, and offers live tracking; clubs, running groups, companies, and institutions can enter larger teams through a separate spreadsheet process handled by Rostocker Citylauf e.V.
Stadtlauf Laage
SUN DEC 20
Stadtlauf Laage is a city run in Laage, Germany, held in the morning as part of the town’s traditional autumn market. The programme is designed for local runners rather than only specialists: individual races cover 3.3 km, 6.6 km, and 9.9 km, with a 1000-metre children’s run alongside them. Company and club teams also race a 4 x 1650-metre relay for cups and medals. The route sends runners through a well-secured town centre, with the mayor starting the race. Its first edition came from a citizen appeal to add something active to the autumn market, and the running group of Sport Club Laage helped with the organisation. More than 87 endurance runners joined the individual events, while nine relay teams made the team race the busiest sporting moment of the morning.
Silvesterlauf Kühlungsborn (SILVESTER Run)
TUE DEC 29
The Silvesterlauf Kühlungsborn is a year-end running event in the Baltic Sea resort of Kühlungsborn, northern Germany. Participants can select a 5 km or 10 km race, and a 500-meter Kids Run is available, with children participating without charge. It is a flat, fast street run, offering a more relaxed atmosphere than a typical road race, as the event is designed for families, recreational runners, hobby athletes, and performance runners to share the same program. The route incorporates Kühlungsborn’s coastal environment, featuring sections along the Baltic Sea and the town’s extensive beach promenade, where participants might run towards the sunset. Certain parts of the course may lead runners directly onto sand, and the race vicinity also covers the town’s 30-hectare city forest. The event is managed by Dein Ostseeweg GmbH, with registration managed via the organizer’s website. Published start lists, results, photos, and race reports provide the standard structure of a community race, complete with timing and post-event coverage.

About 10K races in Rostock

Rostock Coastal Miles

Rostock hosts 13 10K races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals run Rostock from the Warnow to the Baltic, then save the good stuff for Warnemünde. My favorite Rostock run goes out along the Baltic sand dunes, with Am Strom, the old fishing harbor, and the green harbor light setting the line. The 13 km Warnemünde route stays flat and runs up and down the beach. The beach curves west for about 4 kilometers towards a wooded, sand-cliffed cape. Rostocker Citylauf, City-Sport Abendlauf Rostock, Rostocker Frauenlauf, Rostocker Herbstlauf, Rostocker Firmenlauf, and 24. hella marathon nacht rostock give the calendar its anchor events.

Locals ride the Baltic Sea Cycle Route when they want proper coastal base miles without overthinking it. The Baltic Sea Cycle Route begins in Warnemünde, rolls through Rostock, and keeps the Bay of Mecklenburg in the head. Warnemünde gives you the lighthouse, Hohe Düne gives you the river mouth, and Rostock gives you the old river spin back inland. The climbs sit more in the cliffs than in the city, with stairs above the beach and hiking trails in the woods. SV Warnemünde, Rostocker Nasenbären, and HSG Warnemünde are the local club names from the brief.

Rostock trains like a Baltic city, so locals keep the season flexible and let the sea decide the feel. Summer brings families swimming, wicker beach chairs lined up on the sand, and warm air coming in from the mainland. The Warnemünde station still runs cooler on an average summer day than the northern side of the sea. Winter keeps things milder because the Baltic Sea tempers the Arctic blasts. Runners stay on flat Z2 loops, and riders move base miles onto steadier coastal spins when cyclocross weather hits.
