Müritz-Triathlon 2026

The Müritz-Triathlon takes place at Volksbad Waren, situated on the Müritz, Germany’s largest inland lake. Organized by Müritzsportclub, this summer triathlon begins in the morning and accommodates both individual participants and relay teams. Adult competitors can select a sprint or middle distance, while younger participants compete in a Swim&Run event instead of the complete swim-bike-run format. The adult events proceed in the traditional swim, bike, run sequence. The sprint distance involves a 750 m swim, a 20 km bike ride, and a 5 km run. The middle distance increases these to a 1,000 m swim, an 80 km bike ride, and a 20 km run. The youth Swim&Run is scaled down to 100 m swimming and 1,000 m running, offering younger athletes a competitive event without the cycling portion. Müritzsportclub has managed this event for 38 years, with Tollense-Timing responsible for race timing.
