35. M-net Erlanger Triathlon 2026

The M-net Erlanger Triathlon takes place in mid-July in Erlangen, Bavaria, organized by TV 1848 Erlangen. This is the 35th running of the race, which offers two distances: a short course (1.5 km swim, 44 km road bike, 10 km road run) and a middle course (2 km swim, 80 km road bike, 20 km road run). Both distances are open to solo participants and relays, meaning the field includes individual age-group competitors alongside teams sharing the swim, bike, and run legs. The middle-distance individual race attracts more participants, with approximately 475 expected starters, compared to around 300 for the short-distance individual race. The event has a practical, club-race atmosphere, with registration reminders sent via a small newsletter a few times annually. The previous edition was so muddy that organizers described it as a “mud battle with a happy ending.”
