Recurring 10K races near Wassenberg

Races that repeat — weekly, monthly or yearly

Limburg Wine Trailrun
SAT OCT 3
The Limburg Wine Trail is a trail run through South Limburg's hill country, incorporating wine tasting throughout the day rather than solely at the finish. Participants begin and conclude at Kasteelhoeve Cartils, located next to Kasteel Cartils in the Eyserbeek valley between Gulpen and Eys. Runners can select from 10, 15, or 20 kilometer distances. The courses are not flat; the 10 km route includes 220 meters of elevation gain, the 15 km has 300 meters, and the 20 km features 370 meters. The course crosses a blend of paved and unpaved paths, featuring rolling hills, estate grounds, and vineyards within the Limburg Heuvelland region. Along the route, runners sample local Limburg wines accompanied by small food pairings, making the event a combination of trail race and mobile wine tasting. Now in its third edition, the event's first two editions sold out rapidly. A Limburg Wine Walk is also offered for those preferring to experience the wine and countryside without running. The day concludes back at Cartils with music and a communal closing.
21. Korschenbroicher Waldlauf
SAT OCT 3
The Korschenbroich Forest Run takes place at Am Sportplatz in Korschenbroich. The event offers 5K and 10K races, providing standard distances for participants. The event includes options for children and students, catering to a range of age groups. Nordic Walking is also available, allowing participants to join the same race setting without competing as runners.
79. Viersener Herbstwaldlauf Rund um den Bismarckturm
SAT OCT 10
The Viersener Herbstwaldlauf Rund um den Bismarckturm is an autumn forest race in Viersen, Germany. All races start and finish at Stadion Hoher Busch. The program features a rolling 5k run, a 10k run, and a 7.25k walk or Nordic walk, catering to both runners and walkers. The 5k is open to adults aged 14 and older, with a one-hour time limit. The walking and Nordic walking event is open to participants aged 10 and older. Results are categorized by birth-year age groups, extending to older masters categories. The event also includes races for children and youth.
Cité Run Eisden
SUN OCT 18
Cité Run Eisden takes place in October in Eisden-Tuinwijk, starting at Vrije Basisschool de Griffel. The schedule includes a 5 km race in the morning, followed by a 10 km race an hour later. A Kidsrun is held after midday, with children signing up via their school. The course stays within Eisden-Tuinwijk, passing notable local sites. It accommodates individual runners and workplace teams of five or six, who can enter the 5 km or 10 km races as a group using special team packages. Parking is available at Kerkplein. Organisers will give a surprise to the 50th, 100th, and 200th registrants.
PODOrun Sonderkamp & Wijnands
SUN OCT 25
PODOrun Sonderkamp & Wijnands is a paved running event in Kessel, Limburg, organized by Atletiek Helden for juniors and adults. The adult races are 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km. Children can start with a 500-meter bambinoloop from age 4, with one parent or guardian allowed to run alongside. From age 6 there is a 1000-meter race, and runners from age 12 can join the 2.5 km distance. The start is beside community center De Paort, and the route uses short laps through the center of Kessel. Runners pass the Maas boulevard, the houses along the Veersepad, the historic market square, and the castle garden of Kasteel de Keverberg. The 500-meter race is one blue lap, the 1000 meters is two blue laps, and the longer distances use the green lap: once for 2.5 km, twice for 5 km, and four times for 10 km. Spectators can watch from terraces around the route, giving the event a village-center feel.
Jasperloop
SUN OCT 25
The Jasperloop begins at 10:00 on the last Sunday of most months, located beside Het Keelven in Someren, close to forest café De Soete Inval. This is a small Dutch trimloop, emphasizing personal fitness testing over formal championship competition. Registration opens at 9:30; non-members pay €1, and participation is limited to 100 runners. The event occurs 11 times annually, with no session in December. The structure allows participants to complete 1 to 6 laps of a 2.5 km course, offering distances from 2.5 km to 15 km. The semi-paved loop winds through the woods surrounding Het Keelven. The start is accessible from the provincial road connecting Someren, Asten, and Heeze. The event welcomes runners of all ages and experience levels, from novices to seasoned athletes, though some participants compete seriously against their own times and fellow runners. The series has progressed through hundreds of editions.
Urban Trail Düsseldorf
SUN NOV 1
The Urban Trail Düsseldorf is a relaxed 8 to 10 km urban trail run in Düsseldorf, Germany. It begins in the morning at the Jugendherberge Düsseldorf on Düsseldorferstrasse 1. This event is part of the Urban Trail Serie and is organized by D Running, which has new management since 2025. This is not a competition for the fastest time; there is no timing, start waves ensure a calm opening, and participants can jog, walk, or run at their own pace. From the youth hostel, the route crosses the Rhine and connects various city locations instead of following typical running paths. The measured distance is from one stop to the next, with additional steps within venues included. Runners might see modern architecture, historic sites, less-known areas, halls, museums, and other venues usually off-limits. Each location may offer its own small highlight for participants. Traffic lights must still be obeyed, and food is available on site after or during the run.
Martinslauf
SUN NOV 8
Martinslauf is a St. Martin-themed running event in Germany, featuring races like the SFD '75 run around Unterbacher See in Düsseldorf and the Martinslauf Sindorf. It functions as a local running festival, not a single-distance race: Sindorf offers 5 km, 10 km, and a Bambini run, while the SFD event includes youth races over two kilometers and Bambini races over 700 meters. The Unterbacher See race attracts a large community field, with one edition seeing over 2,600 participants. The St. Martin connection is evident on race day with St. Martin on horseback and Weckmänner, the sweet bread rolls associated with the holiday. Club runners, children, families, spectators, and volunteers participate together, and runners can later find their finish times, placings, and certificates online.
Corrid'heure
FRI NOV 20
Jasperloop
SUN NOV 29
The Jasperloop takes place near Keelven in Someren on the last Sunday of each month, excluding December. Runners begin at 10:00 AM. This is a small Dutch trimloop, a low-key run where participants primarily monitor their fitness, although some treat it as a competition against time or other runners. Registration is available at the start area 30 minutes before the run. Non-members pay EUR 1 to enter, and the event is limited to 100 participants. The course is a set 2.5 km loop on semi-paved paths. Runners can complete up to six laps. The start is located near cafe De Soete Inval, by the provincial road connecting Someren, Asten, and Heeze. Signs direct drivers from the road to the start. The registration desk is set up at a picnic table near the track, where runners sign up and receive a bib number. A large clock at each lap allows runners to check their pace. The series has been running for an extended period; organizers estimate it has passed hundreds of editions, but are unsure of the exact start date.
Rabo Mescherbergloop
SUN DEC 6
The Rabo Mescherbergloop takes runners into the Savelsbos, located near Eijsden and Mesch in the southern tip of Limburg. Here, Dutch running feels considerably hillier than many anticipate. This annual Maasrunners event is a long-standing fixture among mountain runs in the Netherlands, offering race distances of approximately 6.1 km, 10 km, 16.1 km, and 21.1 km, alongside a Kidsrun for younger participants. All races commence and conclude at Pisartlaan in Eijsden. The shorter courses follow field paths and forest trails with undulating terrain. The 16 km route incorporates additional ascents and a 180-step staircase within the Savelsbos. Those seeking a hilly challenge without the stairs can opt for the 10 km loop. The event provides essential race-day amenities, including changing facilities, showers, first aid, parking, and the option to purchase MBL shirts when registering.
Mescherbergloop
SUN DEC 13
The Mescherbergloop is an annual running event in Eijsden, located in the southernmost part of Limburg, near the village of Mesch. Its routes traverse the Savelsbos and the rolling countryside surrounding Eijsden, offering race options from a Kidsrun up to a half marathon. The Maasrunners organize the event, which has been a fixture on the local running calendar for over 30 years. The course presents a varied terrain, not a flat road run: it incorporates hills, meadows, climbs, descents, and a well-known staircase path near Eijsden and Mesch. The primary 10 km race attracts more seasoned runners, while the 5 km provides a shorter option for those new to the event. A 16 km route extends through the Savelsbos and the hills around Eijsden and Mesch, and participants include both local and regional runners.
