4ο Argithea Mountain Race

The Argithea Mountain Race is a mountain running series held in Petrilo, a village in the Karditsa area of Greece, within the Thessalian Agrafa region. The event offers runners multiple options: a 30 km mountain race, a 13 km race, a 5 km Fun Run, a 3.6 km Vertical race, and a 1 km race. It is organized as a mountain-running weekend, catering to experienced trail runners, those preferring shorter distances, and families. The shorter family race takes place within the village, with its start and finish at the Mageiros Petrilo settlement. Even the 5 km route includes approximately 250 metres of elevation gain, maintaining a connection to the mountain environment rather than being a flat road run. The 5 km event is suitable for all athletes and families, while the longer races provide a challenge for stronger runners. Greek running publications refer to the event as a traditional mountain race in Petrilo and the Argithea region.
