The Port2Port Chios Duathlon is a point-to-point race across Chios island. It begins with a 40 km road-bike leg from Meston Port and concludes with a 10 km run at Chios Port. The event is designed for individual athletes, limited to 200 participants. It is a road race with partial traffic control, complete closures in the neutral zone, and a mandatory helmet policy. Only road bikes are permitted; aerobars and time-trial helmets are prohibited, but drafting is allowed during the cycling portion.
The transition occurs at Thymiania, where athletes switch from cycling to running before proceeding to the port finish. Hydration stations are located at Kalamoti, approximately 20 km into the bike leg, again at the transition area, and at the 3 km, 5 km, and 7 km marks of the run. The SKINOS Cycling Team and ChiosRunning are the organizers. The entry package includes a technical T-shirt, timing chip, bib, commemorative gifts, a trophy medal, refreshment support, and a return ferry ticket for athletes and their companions on domestic routes.
