Tour de Hongrie 2026

Bárány Road provides the challenge in this edition: the 47th Tour de Hongrie begins with flatter stages suited for sprinters before becoming more demanding with the queen stage. It is a road race with the character of a multi-day event, traversing towns and counties, leading to a hilly final day where the overall winner may not be decided until late. The riders will need to adapt to varied conditions: flat finishes, categorized climbs including Tótvázsony-Gella, Tengelic-Szőlőhegy, Gödre, Zobákpuszta, and Szentkirályszabadja, and a mountain finish designed to break up the field. Specific elements of cycling are present: intermediate sprints awarding points and bonus seconds, national-level riders competing, live broadcast coverage, and the distinct atmosphere of a major event when the race convoy begins its journey.
