About this race
The Trofeo Sergio Ariani – Settore giovanile is a youth-only foot race in Florence, with departures starting at 16:00 from the athletics track at the CUS University Sports Center in via delle Montalve. The race is short by design, with a maximum distance of 3 km, so it is built for younger age categories rather than adult road racers.
This is the 24th edition of the Sergio Ariani trophy, and the competitive hook is clear: young runners get to test themselves against strong athletes from the local area. The event centers on the CUS track setting, with the trophy giving the day a proper racing target beyond simply finishing.
