About this race
Granfondo San Lorenzo Cipressa is an amateur cycling race held in Liguria, on Italy's Riviera, organized by Gs Alpi. Approximately 400 cyclists participate in this Sunday morning granfondo covering 93 km. The route winds between the sea and the olive-covered hills surrounding San Lorenzo al Mare and Cipressa. A children's program is offered on Saturday, making the weekend inclusive for adults and younger participants.
The course, while short for a granfondo, remains selective. The men's winner completed the race in 2h44'45", with the second-place finisher over five minutes behind. Alberto Nardin secured the men's victory, followed by Enrico Bertot and Nicholas Calipa. Roberta Bussone won the women's race by more than ten minutes, ahead of Master world champion Olga Cappiello, with Antigone Payne in third. Local support for the event comes from Liguria's European Region of Sport program, the Province of Imperia, and the municipalities of San Lorenzo al Mare and Cipressa.
