About this race

Cable Bay Adventure Park provides this Race 2 outing with an off-road character without being intimidating. It is a mixed-terrain duathlon, combining trail running and mountain biking. The atmosphere is more family morning out than a competitive sufferfest. Adults can tackle the longer effort, beginners have a manageable entry point, and under-12s receive their own free run-bike-run race. The course requires sustained effort across both running and biking, but the non-technical bike leg remains accessible for various bikes and riders new to off-road cycling. Expect trail shoes, bike racks, children active before the main start, and many families using it as an introduction to racing. It feels like a structured event in a relaxed environment, a setting where a nervous first-timer can feel comfortable and participate.
