About this race
The Pałecznica Race - Kościuszko Classic is a late-August amateur road cycling race in northern Lesser Poland, centered on the farming commune of Pałecznica. Participants can select between 43 km and 86 km routes, suitable for a challenging shorter effort or a more extensive day on the bike. The event also includes the Polish Championships for Uniformed Services, adding a distinct competitive element to the typical amateur field.
The course crosses Pałecznica, Racławice, and Radziemice, featuring rolling countryside instead of flat urban roads. Short, steep ascents are followed by quick descents, with a profile that can challenge both experienced cyclists and newer racers. The Kościuszko name links the race to the local history near Racławice, and the finish in Pałecznica naturally leads to discussions about race dynamics and climb performance. Following the race, participants may visit Racławice or a local winery for regional wine tasting.
