Bradford hosts 140 10K races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals get plenty done from Lister Park, Roberts Park, Horton Park, Bowling Park, and Greenhead Park. Lister Park gives an easy parkrun feel, while Queensbury gives you that higher, hillier Z2 work. Queensbury Running Club meets at the ARCH in Queensbury every Thursday, and Baildon Runners keep the local scene busy too. NorthowRun5 gives you an undulating road race in and around Northowram, with views of the Calder Valley. The route is 9 km and gives you 55 m of gain. Race For Life Bradford keeps the 5km crowd covered.

East Bradford Cycling Club is the main name on the bike side, pedalling since 1899 from Wyke Community Sports Village. Wyke Community Sports Centre gives them a purpose built cycling facility, so skills, road racing, and young riders have a proper base. Saturday sessions run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the skills group and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the road racing group. Bradford District Cycle Map shows signed routes, quiet roads, traffic calmed areas, and traffic-free paths. The climbs sit in the South Pennines feel, especially west where Bradford Beck rises in moorland.

July is the best month for clean summer training in Bradford. Summer brings the warmest days, steady base miles, and early-season sharpness from East Bradford Cycling Club's 10 Time Trials. East Bradford Cycling Club also runs two club championship events in April and September, then a Hill Climb in October when the legs need bite. Winter changes the rhythm for both sports. Runners lean into Leeds Country Way Winter Ultra North and darker Z2 loops, while cyclists look at Mandy’s Mondays from September to April and pick flatter valley bottoms or hilltops when the weather turns.
