About 10K races in Las Vegas

Desert Miles, Real Climbs

Las Vegas hosts 9 10K races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals run early, and the good stuff sits past the Strip. The Strip from the beginning to the Vegas sign gives about 10 miles, but running the Strip is more of an obstacle race. The loop is 51 km with 121 m of gain, and the UPRR trail from Pecos & Warm Springs gives a clean 10-mile out-and-back to Gibson. Las Vegas Runners brings beginners and advanced runners together in South Las Vegas. The St. Rose Parkway 1 mi loop starts at Desert Bloom Park. The St. Rose Parkway 1 mi loop starts at Desert Bloom Park. Run for Mental Health, 4th of July 5K Blast, and Lantern Semiquincentennial work as local anchor races.

Locals ride because Vegas is a sleeper MTB city, and the city ends at the edge of the desert. Giant Las Vegas - Summerlin rolls a Saturday road ride at 7:00 AM for 25 miles at 13-16 mph. Giant Las Vegas - Mountains Edge runs a 7:00 AM Saturday road ride that covers 40-50 miles with about 2,500 feet of climbing. The Tuesday Night Ride meets at 7 PM in the Town of Blue Diamond and hits Cottonwood Valley trails under the stars. Red Rock Canyon, Bootleg Canyon, Old Spanish Trail, and fireroads handle singletrack, XC, gravity, and gravelish hardtail miles.

Spring and fall are the best windows, so March-May and September-November carry the cleanest Z2, intervals, long runs, and base miles. Summer humidity sits around 56% and temperatures often push over 40°C. Locals ride at night or early morning, and runners do the same before the pavement starts cooking. Lee Canyon, Mt Charlie trails, Mt Charleston, and forest service trails above 7000 feet become the summer escape. Winter stays mild, with 7°C to 15°C days that keep road rides, trail runs, and steady blocks comfortable.
