Races that repeat — weekly, monthly or yearly

Warner Robins Police Department Glow Run 2026
SAT OCT 17
The Warner Robins Police Department Glow Run is an evening 5K held at Freedom Field in Warner Robins, Georgia. Runners meet in the Freedom Field parking lot on Bear Country Boulevard. The event opens before sunset for packet pickup and on-site registration. The 5K begins at 8:00 pm, making the race about running after dark with glow gear rather than a typical daytime road race. This event is designed as a family gathering as well as a run. Vendors, food trucks, bouncy houses, face painting, and police and fire vehicles are available around the race. Registered runners receive glow body paint, a glow necklace, and two glow bracelets from the Glow Tent. Participants are encouraged to wear bright glow items for photos under the black lights. The first 600 registered runners are assured a race shirt and finisher medal. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Georgia.
Mighty Hero Homes 5K and Fun Run
SAT NOV 7
Walton-Barrow Board of REALTORS® Toy Trot 5K / Peachtree Qualifier
SAT NOV 14
The Toy Trot is a Saturday morning 5K run/walk in Monroe, Georgia, beginning at 934 Harmony Church Road. The Walton-Barrow Board of REALTORS® presents the race, which serves as an official Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race qualifier on its certified course, GA 17306DJ. A short fun run/walk precedes the 5K, offering families and walkers a less strenuous choice. The race supports the local Shop With A Hero Program, integrating a holiday theme into the day's activities. Participants are encouraged to bring wrapping paper, gift bags, and tape for presents to be wrapped at Walmart for the program. The event includes an “Ugliest Sweater” contest, and has been held for over fifteen years.
Huff N' Puff Trail Races
SAT JAN 16
Huff N' Puff Trail Races are winter trail races held at Dauset Trails in Jackson, Georgia. The races begin at the trail system located at 360 Mount Vernon Church Road. Participants can select from a marathon, half marathon, or 5K, allowing a range from a brief trail run to a full marathon on dirt paths. The event takes place in January, providing a cool-season atmosphere distinct from a hot Georgia summer. The course primarily consists of single-track trails featuring rolling hills, roots, rocks, and several technical sections demanding careful footing. The marathon and half marathon share the same loop, with marathon participants completing it twice. Runners will traverse alongside creeks and may observe local wildlife. The longer races are cupless; marathon and half marathon runners must carry a handheld bottle or hydration pack. Aid stations are positioned to support half marathoners twice and marathoners multiple times throughout the two-loop course.

About 5K races in Macon

Macon-Bibb Training Notes

Macon hosts 9 5K races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals run a park-heavy mix, with road loops, trail days, and short hill repeats all close by. Macon Tracks Running Club keeps the race calendar moving. The main road loop covers 68 km with +82 m elevation gain for steady base miles. The shorter loop covers 23 km with +35 m elevation gain when intervals need bite. George Peake and Ann Peake Cross Country Trail handles PINK OUT 5K & 1 MILE. Carolyn Crayton Park anchors the Macon Music Half Marathon. United in Pink brings the pink crowd. The Great Bacon Race keeps the ballpark day loose.

Bike Walk Macon sets the tone for riding here. Macon’s Big Bike Ride gives locals an 8-10 mile slow-roll feel through Downtown Macon, the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail, and surrounding neighborhoods. Downtown Macon works for social miles and first-timer confidence. Ocmulgee Heritage Trail gives riders the clean local spine. OMBA points mountain bikers toward local and regional trails when singletrack is the plan. Gravel days can use Franklin Road, Wadley Road, Pioneer Rd, or Griswoldville Rd. Bibb County has 4 mi of gravel. Woolfolk Hill gives the obvious short climb. Locals keep the rest punchy.

Spring lets runners stack races and riders build Z2 without forcing it. Summer training starts early because Eagle 5K & 10K starts at 8:00 AM. Locals keep the hard stuff short, then use shaded trails and easy spins. Fall brings the anchor feel, with PINK OUT 5K & 1 MILE, Macon Labor Day Road Race, and trail races on the schedule. Macon’s Big Bike Ride also lands in November. Winter keeps both sports alive. Holiday 5K, & 10K lands on December 26th. Runners race more by feel. Cyclists shift toward base miles, gravel, and calmer group rides.
