Corre por una Causa Madrid hosts a charity road race within Casa de Campo, Madrid’s large park on the city’s west side. This event is part of the Corre por una Causa series, organized by Entreculturas and Alboan across 16 Spanish cities from February to May. The Madrid race is typically held in mid-February. Participants can select between 5K or 10K distances. The event also offers a 1K option and children’s races, making it suitable for families and seasoned runners alike.
The 10K is the main distance, featuring one loop with approximately 99 meters of elevation change. The 5K also uses a single loop, with about 44 meters of elevation change. The event provides aid stations, restrooms, changing facilities, bag storage, medical assistance, trophies, medals, timing services, and a finish-line announcer. The series is in its 15th year, and Olympic race-walking medalist María Pérez García acts as an ambassador. Funds raised support education and safe-space initiatives for children who are refugees or forcibly displaced. Current fundraising efforts are directed towards projects in South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
