Run Akaroa begins high above Akaroa Harbour, with the water on one side and the South Pacific Ocean on the other. It is a point-to-point road race, built around "unique coastal and elevated views" rather than laps around town.
The courses descend toward Akaroa Domain, a "historic finish venue" that should make the last stretch rewarding. Experienced runners will choose the longer distance, while families and first-timers have run/walk options and a Kids Dash around the Domain, ensuring the finish area has a shared race-day atmosphere.
