The Brian Rhodes Memorial 5K is a Canada Day run in Kelowna, British Columbia, starting and finishing at City Park. This community 5K gathers runners, walkers, families, and friends to remember Brian Rhodes and raise funds for the BC Cancer Foundation. A Kids 1km run follows the main event, offering younger children a short out-and-back course.
The 5K route is flat and straightforward: runners proceed 2.5 km out along Abbott Street, turn, and return directly to City Park. The course has minimal elevation change, making it suitable for first-time 5K participants, steady runners, and those aiming for a personal best. Post-race, finishers receive medals. The event also features refreshments, awards, and draw prizes including running shoes, local gift cards, and an entry to the Midsummer 8K.
