Quijote Maratón is an annual road race in Ciudad Real, located in Spain’s Castile-La Mancha region. The event offers a marathon, half marathon, and 10 km race. It is a city race, with the course looping through Ciudad Real’s streets. The route has a flat profile, and its current layout emphasizes the urban center.
The marathon course consists of two laps, and the half marathon course is one lap. Both races begin at Ronda de Alarcos and conclude in Parque de Gasset. Participants will run past Plaza Mayor, Plaza del Pilar, Plaza de la Constitución, Puerta de Toledo, Puerta de Santa María, Parque del Pilar, and Parque de los Poetas. Feedback from participants highlights practical aspects such as affordable registration fees, a runner bag containing a shirt, socks, fruit, a drink, and a cereal bar, as well as showers, physiotherapy, and podiatry services available at the finish.
