Participants select either a 6, 12, or 24-hour road race, aiming to cover the maximum distance before time expires. The event is part of the Ultracycling World Cup and also contributes points to the Italian Time Trial Cup for all three race durations. The circuit spans 33.5 km with 460 meters of elevation gain per lap, emphasizing pacing, nutrition, and consistent climbing alongside pure speed. The 24-hour race serves as a qualifier for Race Across America and holds Italian championship status for 12- and 24-hour ultracycling, including WUCA 24h. Founded by Fabio Biasiolo, a prominent figure in ultracycling, the race has also hosted the European Ultracycling Championships for 12 and 24 hours.
