Colorado Springs Marathon, Half, 5K, and Kids K
SAB OTT 3
The Colorado Springs Marathon begins and ends on Vermijo Street adjacent to the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum, placing the main event in downtown Colorado Springs from the outset. The series takes place each fall, featuring a marathon, half marathon, 5K, and Kids K, with virtual options available for each distance for participants unable to attend in person. This event is family-oriented, including a race expo and packet pickup prior to race day, along with exhibitor booths at the finish line. The marathon route proceeds west on Colorado Avenue, descends into America the Beautiful Park, and then follows the Greenway Trail north through Monument Valley Park. Participants will encounter varied terrain: concrete for the initial mile of the Greenway Trail, followed by hard-packed pea gravel, and then paved paths along the Greenway and Santa Fe trails before returning towards downtown. The courses wind through parks and past historic monuments, with the finish line situated back at the Pioneers Museum. This marks the series' 13th year, attracting participants from across the nation, and has reached capacity in recent years.
Rim to Rim Royal Gorge Races: 5K Road Run, Trail 8 Mile, Trail Half Marathon
SAB OTT 3
The Rim to Rim Royal Gorge Races center on the Royal Gorge Bridge near Canon City, offering a road 5K, an 8-mile trail run, and a trail half marathon. The 5K winds through foothills near the bridge, featuring challenging hills and a downhill finish after crossing the bridge; walkers may also participate in this distance. The two longer races are trail events, each limited to 200 participants. The 8-mile course begins with a short run to the Twisted Cistern trailhead, incorporates 1.6 miles of that trail, includes a 3.1-mile loop on Made in the Shade, then ascends Twisted Cistern again before descending toward the bridge. The half marathon spans 13.1 miles with rolling hills, quick descents, open views of the gorge, and concludes at the Royal Gorge Bridge. In case of heavy rain or snow, Canon City may cancel the trail events and substitute an 8-mile dirt-road course. The series also features a free Dinosaur Dash kids race, encouraging costumes, and a virtual race option.
Manitou 5K
SAB OTT 10
The Manitou 5K begins and ends in Fields Park in Manitou Springs, Colorado. The course is flat and accommodates runners, walkers, rollers, and strollers. This community race is in its third year, chip timed by Pikes Peak Road Runners, with all proceeds benefiting the Manitou Springs School District. The route follows the creek and the Creekwalk, passing through parks featuring murals, sculptures, disc golf, and skate areas. Participants have ranged from 4 to 82 years old. Local support is significant: school art students design the shirts, Garden of the Gods Trading Post provides snacks and drinks, an old-time arcade supplies kids awards, Manitou Brewery offers beer tokens, and city staff and the fire department assist with race operations.
Bobcat Trail Races
SAB OTT 17
Bobcat Trail Races take place in Palmer Park, Colorado Springs. The park's rocky bluffs overlook the city and Pikes Peak. This fall trail event offers 5K, 10K, 25K, and 50K distances, accommodating both short-distance trail runners and ultrarunners on the same race day. The course is 95 percent unpaved, beginning around 6,300 feet and reaching nearly 6,600 feet. The series, established in 2015, aims to showcase Palmer Park’s trail system to runners. It maintains a local feel with a 250-runner limit and no prize money, distinguishing it from large-city road races.
YMCA of Pueblo Spooky Sprint 5K

Si fa allo YMCA of Pueblo, lì su East Spaulding Avenue a Pueblo, Colorado. Il percorso rimane lì, all'interno dei terreni dello YMCA of Pueblo.
Spooky Sprint - Colorado Springs

It is designed for families and mixed-ability groups. Younger runners can do the short dash, walkers can select the mile, and runners seeking a timed effort can use the longer distances, which include chip timing, live results, and awards. A virtual option allows participation from another location while still receiving event merchandise. The race is part of the local Bodies Race Series, which focuses on accessible events and take-home gear. Registration for the 5k, 10k, and half marathon includes a custom bib, designer shirt, and finisher medal. The 1 Mile includes the same items but is untimed. The 5k and 10k also provide youth pricing for children 12 and under. Finish-line treats, free participant photos, costumes, and the Halloween theme contribute to a family outing atmosphere rather than a basic road race.
