Den Halve van Geshaa
土 10月 3
Den Halve van Geshaa is a half marathon held in Grasheide, a hamlet of Putte in Antwerp province, Belgium, on the first Saturday of October. The main race covers 21.1 km. Runners can also complete the distance as a relay team of two or three. Additionally, a 7 km race follows the same route for those preferring a single lap. The start and finish are located at the SV Grasheide football club on Galeistraat. The half marathon consists of three laps of 7.033 km each. Approximately half of the course is unpaved, combining quiet paved roads with field and forest paths. The route is closed to traffic, with marshals and kilometer markers provided. Water stations are available on each lap, along with a supply point at 3.5 km. Geshaalopers organize the event, making it accessible for local runners and relay teams, and supporting a different charitable cause annually.
Semi-marathon de Dinant
日 10月 4
The Semi-marathon de Dinant is a new half marathon scheduled for October in Dinant. The start and finish will be in the city center, alongside the Meuse River. Organizers anticipate over 1,000 participants for this inaugural road race, designed for a wide range of runners. The course is planned to trace the Meuse between Hastière and Dinant, meaning participants will run alongside the river for most of the race, rather than through city streets. The precise route awaits final SPW approval for homologation. Maxime Laloux, also organizer of the Dinant trail, is heading this project with François Weynant and the Brasseur brothers, individuals well-known to local runners.
Van Cauter Halve Marathon Erpe-Mere
日 10月 11
The Van Cauter Half Marathon Erpe-Mere takes place in October in Erpe-Mere, East Flanders, Belgium. The main 21.1 km race begins at the church in Aaigem. The event also features 3.5 km and 11.5 km runs, alongside youth races of 450 m for toddlers, 750 m for younger primary-school children, and 1000 m for older primary-school children. The shorter races and youth distances are based at Domain Steenberg. Half marathon runners use Aaigem as their race base and collect their numbers at the church. The event is a fixture on the local sports calendar, offering live timing, many children and recreational runners, and supporters along a route showcasing the greener parts of Erpe-Mere.
Trail de Gendron
日 10月 11
Vondelhof Trail
日 10月 18
The Vondelhof Trail begins and ends at the Vondelhof in Haaltert, with Maspoe organizing the race from Vondelen 14. Participants can select from 12 km, 21 km, or 30 km routes, all designed as trail courses rather than road races. Over 70% of the course is off-road, making it a day for trail shoes, not fast, flat asphalt. The event takes place in autumn and is in its second edition. The route includes singletrack, unpaved forest paths, gravel roads, mud, and some climbing; organizers advise that good grip is important. It is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. The race is cup-free, requiring runners to bring their own cup for water at aid stations. Streets near the start will be closed to traffic, parking is restricted to surrounding streets, and arriving on foot or by bike is encouraged. Later in the day, Haaltert Loopt offers 4 km, 8 km, and 12 km options with the same setup.
Trage Wegen Jogging
日 10月 18
Trage Wegen Jogging is a running event held in October in Boutersem, located in Belgium’s Vlaams-Brabant province, starting at Sport’O’Droom. Participants can choose from 5 km, 10 km, 16 km, and 21 km distances. Time registration uses chips, and the event features a free-start format divided into two blocks. The course consists almost entirely of unpaved paths, featuring numerous single-track sections, making it more of a trail run than a road race. The route is marked, and aid stations are available along the way. Sport’O’Droom offers amenities such as changing rooms, showers, and luggage storage. Additionally, there are 400 m and 800 m kids' runs. Every child participating receives a medal. This marks the 12th edition of the race.
Donkmeerloop De Mooiste Halve
日 11月 1
Donkmeerloop De Mooiste Halve is a road race held at Festival Hall Donkmeer in Berlare, East Flanders. The start and finish are on Donklaan, adjacent to the lake. The race offers 6 km, 12 km, and half marathon distances, and is scheduled for autumn. Jente Samson, the Flanders Project Team, the municipality of Berlare, and the Province of East Flanders organize the event. It has been held for 11 consecutive editions, expanding from 450 participants in its first year to over 2,000, with fields now sold out. The courses traverse the Donkmeer area, the old duck decoy, and Nieuwdonk. This ensures even the shorter distances offer the same lake-and-park environment as the half marathon. Half marathon participants can utilize seven pacers, identifiable by orange shirts, aiming for finish times between 1:20 and 2:10. Past editions featured the Belgian Championship, charity runs, and support for a children's heart fund. The race maintains practical amenities: aid stations on each lap, electronic timing, changing facilities and showers at the start/finish, medals for all finishers, a finisher drink, and trophies awarded.
20km door het Zoniënwoud
日 3月 21
20km door het Zoniënwoud is a 20 km forest race in Auderghem, on the edge of Brussels. It is a trail run, with over 90% of the route unpaved. The course is fully marked, and runners receive one aid station. The race carries a UTMB Index 20K listing and features 370 meters of climbing, suitable for those seeking a short, genuine off-road challenge. The route remains primarily within the Zoniënwoud, utilizing gravel paths and single tracks with some steep ascents. It is entirely traffic-free, marked by orange arrows and large signs, and limited to 1,500 participants across four start waves. The event includes a walking option for children up to 12 and dogs, offered free of charge, contributing to a wider local atmosphere compared to a race exclusively for runners.
21 km de Dour
金 4月 2
The 21 km de Dour is a road half marathon held in Dour, Belgium. Alongside the full 21.0975 km distance, there is also a shorter 8 km race. It is part of the 21KM.be challenge and is considered one of the most difficult races in that series. The half marathon is noted for its most technical course. Though the event is only five years old, it attracts a large field, with approximately 3,000 runners participating in a recent edition. The route crosses Dour and its environs exclusively on roads. It is not a course suited for an easy, flat run. Participants face frequent accelerations, ascents, and changes in pace, making strategy, focus, and consistent effort as critical as outright speed. The 8 km race is presented as very quick, offering a faster option to the challenging half marathon. Aid stations are positioned along the route, and the finish takes place at a new sports complex. Amenities include City Wash, a sauna, massage services, a finisher shirt, a commemorative medal, and awards for various categories.
Trail du Plateau de Rocroy
月 4月 5
The Trail du Plateau de Rocroy offers runners four trail distances starting from Rocroi, located in the Ardennes region of Grand Est in northeastern France. This nature trail event takes place in early April, featuring options of approximately 11.7 km, 21 km, 31 km, and 45.5 km, allowing participants to select anything from a brief off-road run to an extended mountain-style course. Each route is a single loop, with elevation gain increasing sharply according to distance: around 250 m for the 11.7 km race, 800 m for the 21 km, 1400 m for the 31 km, and 2150 m for the 45.5 km Roc du Roy. The event caters to trail runners of various skill levels, and its tagline, “On a silver platter!”, reflects the presentation of the Rocroi plateau and Ardennes terrain through multiple race formats.
Trail du plateau de Rocroy - Rocroi
月 4月 12
The Trail du Plateau de Rocroy is a spring trail-running event held in Rocroi. The race hub is located on rue de l'Arsenal, with registration check-in at the Bastion du Dauphin. Four distances are available, ranging from a short discovery trail to a long mountain-style day: 12.10 km with 265 m of elevation gain, 21.50 km with 720 m, 31.90 km with 1,285 m, and 46.70 km with 1,930 m. The most challenging option is Le Roc du Roy, a 46.70 km route featuring significant elevation gain, positioning it as a serious trail race. The other courses are named Le nid d'aigle, La cass'cadeuse, and La petite misère. La petite misère is open to younger participants than the three longer trails. Registration is exclusively online, with payment accepted via bank card. Participants must possess either an FFA license or a PPS health record. The entry package includes a pasta party and a required foldable cup for aid stations, reflecting a practical trail-running setup.
