Gravel Run Berlin is an 8 km race that incorporates varied terrain: city asphalt, gravel, and forest paths are all part of the same run. It combines road racing elements with light trail running, featuring timing, rankings, and team scoring. The format divides the course into four segments, allowing runners to compete not just for an overall finish time, but also to earn bonus time and places within specific sections of the course.
The route transitions from Berlin’s urban running environment to rougher surfaces like woodland, meadow, and gravel paths. It is designed for runners who favor pace, rhythm, and tactical surges over technical trail expertise. Both individuals and teams can participate, and the event includes a festival area with refreshments and space to socialize post-race. XLETIX GmbH, the organizer of XLETIX Challenge and XLETIX Kids, created this series, launching it in Berlin and the Ruhr area before expanding to other cities.
