The Haasower Waldlauf begins and ends at the village and club facility on Alter Postweg in Haasow, part of Neuhausen/Spree in Brandenburg. This late-summer forest running event offers races for children, juniors, adults, and walkers, focusing on short local distances rather than one main race. The schedule features a free 400 m Bambinilauf for children up to age 7, a junior race of approximately 2.6 km, a 4.7 km run for ages 10 and older, a 10.8 km run for ages 14 and older, and a 4.7 km walking event.
The course winds through the Haasow Forest, giving the event the feel of a local woodland race rather than a road-race spectacle. Families can bring young children for the Bambini race, while older students, club runners, walkers, and regional point-chasers have their own distances. Past editions were part of the Sparkassen-LaufCup, integrating the race into the regional running calendar beyond the village. Anke and Stephan Freigang organize the event with assistance from Schwarz-Weiss Haasow 98 e.V. and local sponsors.
