Nieder Kindertriathlon 2026

The Nieder Kindertriathlon is a children’s triathlon in Frankfurt am Main, held at the Vereinsbad of Höchster Schwimmverein 1893 e.V. Organized by VFT HöSV, it offers young athletes a direct swim-bike-run format. Categories range from Schüler D (ages 6-7) to Jugend B (ages 14-15). Now in its 17th year, the event maintains a local feel, with approximately 30 to 45 children expected per age group, allowing families and club members to easily watch the competition. The youngest participants swim 50 meters and run 200 meters. Older athletes in Schüler A and Jugend B cover 200 meters swimming, 10 km cycling, and 1.6 km running. Schüler C and B athletes have intermediate distances for swimming, road cycling, and road running, appropriate for their age. The event is suitable for beginners and those who train with a club, offering a genuine triathlon challenge that is not overwhelming. The motto “TriKids zeigen Flagge” reflects the day: participants wear start numbers, experience transition nerves, achieve proud finishes, and the atmosphere resembles a club and family gathering more than a large, impersonal competition.
