At Le Creusot’s Aquathlon de la Verrerie, racers can choose a short individual XS or S swim-run format, or join a four-person relay over 6.8 km. The event is held in late March in Saône-et-Loire, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, and it is organized by Creusot Triathlon. It also includes children’s and junior races, so the day is built for more than one age group.
The course moves between town sections and greener corners around Le Creusot, giving the race a change of feel without turning it into a long-distance event. It is open to licensed and non-licensed athletes, while also serving as a regional aquathlon championship for categories from Benjamins through Masters. The relay uses mini-aquathlons for teams of four, and the free, non-timed Animathlon Aquafamily gives families a way to participate without racing the clock.
