L'Embuscade de Lubey is a December running event held in Lubey, a small village in Meurthe-et-Moselle, eastern France. The primary race is a challenging 13 km run through a forest, starting at 10:00 a.m. The event also features shorter races of 800 m and 2.4 km, accommodating children and less experienced runners.
The event maintains a local focus: the main race entry fee is 5 euros, young runners participate for free, and organizers prioritize a village atmosphere over a large-city event style. Recent editions have attracted nearly 300 registered participants, including both regular running enthusiasts and notable competitors. Marina Ferraro won the women's race in one edition, and Fidélio Klein secured the men's race for the fourth time. Robert Deparis handles the sound, and the post-race ceremony includes a prize draw or awards.
