Les Foulées Maximoises begins by the Pont de Préconil in Sainte-Maxime, placing runners immediately into a Riviera environment featuring seafront roads, a Mediterranean port, and umbrella pines. The race takes place in January, offering a 10 km and a half marathon, alongside three children’s distances starting from the Chapiteau de la mer. The 10 km is designed to be fast and accessible, while the half marathon presents a more challenging route. Both primary races hold Bronze Level certification and serve as qualifiers for the French Championships.
This event, now in its fifth edition, already presents a complete race morning atmosphere rather than just a single starting point. Participants pick up their bibs at the Chapiteau de la mer, requiring ID and either a PPS health certificate or a license. Four aid stations provide support with water, energy products, fruit, drinks, and snacks. Volunteers and crowd support line the course, a DJ provides music at the venue, official finisher photos are published afterward, and podiums and awards conclude the day following the children’s races.
