Triathlon d'Arcachon 2026

The Triathlon d'Arcachon begins in Arcachon, situated on the edge of the Bassin d'Arcachon. The bay plays an active role in the race, not merely serving as a backdrop. This early October triathlon, held in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, features a middle-distance M race and a significantly shorter XS option. The M race comprises a 1,500-meter swim, a 42-kilometer bike ride, and a 10-kilometer run. The XS race consists of a 200-meter swim, a 7.3-kilometer bike ride, and a 2-kilometer run. The swim takes place in the bay's calmer waters. Following this, the bike course utilizes coastal paths, and the run proceeds along the shoreline, passing beaches and dunes. Recent editions have designated Plage des Arbousiers in Arcachon as the race location. Tri Arcachon Sud Bassin organizes the event. Its twentieth edition indicates a well-established race, distinct from a large city marathon. Arcachon's train station is located just over three kilometers away, offering convenient access for participants traveling without a car.
