The Triathlon des Neiges d'Ancelle is a winter snow triathlon held at the Ancelle resort, starting in the morning from Les Taillas. Competitors begin by skinning uphill on touring skis for approximately 400 metres to the Chatégré summit. They then transition to cross-country skis for a 7 km section on the resort's prepared Nordic trails. The final discipline is a 7 km trail run, completing the progression from uphill touring to Nordic skiing to winter running.
The ski touring course is finalized shortly before the event, as organizers adapt it based on snow conditions. For the Nordic skiing segment, participants may use either skating or classic techniques. The run incorporates forest trails, river crossings, and ridge paths offering expansive vistas. While individuals can compete solo, relay teams of two or three allow for shared effort. This event is in its early stages, with its fifth edition being a notable aspect of its history.
